memorial day 2013

memorial was a nice day. started slow with jake leaving early to go climbing with his brother and johnny and i having a normal morning with breakfast mickey mouse club house and his nap.

jake got home and johnny woke up, we were all hungry so we went and got pizza.

this boy of mine loves to eat! and yes he ate that whole piece of pizza on his own

after lunch we met up with kerry and austin for a little hike to a waterfall. it was a pretty day, which meant we must be outside. 

 we then went to the park to let johnny run around and go on the swings for kerry

 

 austin and i are fantastic synchronized swingers

we came back to our house for a little bit and called it a night around 9pm.

on saturday Jamie and Daniel stopped by to drop off Johnnys 1 year old pictures she took on his birthday (that post coming soon)

we decided to walk to get some lunch at a little burger shack down the street from our house. i hadnt been to it but jake was a big fan.

Tommys was great! and Cheap! and we can see it from our front porch!

lucy is such a doll, i could just eat her up!

 jake and i got chili everything, chili dog, chili fries, chili tamale

during the week

this week has been a fun one

we had a little BBQ in the park with kerry an austin, the weather has been so nice lately and it stays light until about 8:30pm 

 

 we spent alot of time out side looking at and smelling the flowers.

thursday was our friend shaylas birthday, we went to dinner, and then to a little party at her parents house to celebrate. it was a fun evening! 

 friday was a nice, slow morning and then around lunch time johnny and i met kerry for a walk and some lunch. the day continued with a long walk to get her baby to come! jake and austin met us at a park in the evening where a new splash pad opened. we let johnny play around for a while and then continued walking, we got snow cones and then went to indian food, kerry of course got extra hot curry to coax that baby out! but still no baby..

we ended the day with a bath and avoiding going to bed.

a wedding trip

We flew to Long Beach on Wednesday night for a few days in Irvine to look at a place to live and to check out UCIrvine where jake is going to be getting his Masters in BioTechnology.

we are really excited to move back to California and to be close to the beach!

we spent Thursday morning looking around and then we met adam, ashley and the twins at disneyland in the afternoon.

 johnny got his first tattoo from a nice lady who helped us at UCI

 after adam and family left we rode the train around the park 4 times while johnny caught a little nap. i love the train so it was nice to sit and enjoy it. even 4 times over.

 after his nap we hit a few little rides including Dumbo! which he loved!

 we stayed until it was dark.. you cant leave disney land while its still light out, it just a rule. And all 3 of us got a churro for the walk out. johnny loved his.

On friday we looked at a few more places to live and then headed down to San Diego where our friend Garrett got married on Saturday. we met up with grayson and Brittany and made our way to Encinitas where we were staying, and went to the beach and the boys surfed.

 after the beach we met up with my parents, johnny loves them and then went to dinner. it was great mexican food, with a band!

Saturday was wedding day. the boys surfed in the morning with Garrett and then we went to the      San Diego Temple for their Sealing

 after the Temple Jake and James had to stay for pictures and grayson birttany and i went to lunch and met my parents and johnny back at the hotel. 

we then all left for the Reception.

the house that the reception was at was beautiful. there was dinner and dancing. and alot of people from High school we havnt seen in a while.

the picture above its extra special. these 6 boys have been great friends since befor high school. they have all gone separate ways now, but they all come together for this wedding. i have a picture of them in their caps and gown from 7 years ago.

 The next day packed up and headed back to Long Beach to fly home.

We had a very fun trip, with lots of friends and family.
