lately

we've been busy the past few weeks. 

we played a lot in the apartment, hit the beach and the park a few times, and got ready for 2 weeks in newbury park.

on july 19th jake flew to utah to go on an over night hike with grayson in escalante. and i drove up to NP so i didn't have to be alone. the next day Brittany and Everett cam to be with us for the week while the boys were hiking!

 then our friends wedding was that weekend, and nick and shayla and kerry and austin came to town for it. it was a blast! nick and shayla came over one night and had ice cream and chatted. the twins were also there to play with johnny. 

 these 3 are trouble!

after the weekend was over jake and i came back down to Irvine for a few days before Jacob and grayson came back for Millies blessing...

beach day

jake got home early one day last week so we decided to hit the beach. i ordered an umbrella/dome thing that came the day before so i could take millie without having to deal with reapplying sunscreen on a tiny baby, and nurse her without over heating in the sun. jake is against umbrellas at the beach but oh well, it worked great and i liked it!

johnny enjoyed it too, he was in the sand and water most of the time but he did come sit in the shade and ate some grapes. its was a nice break.

it was millies first time to the beach during the day, without being bundled up and asleep. i think she enjoyed it! she kicked and smiled and then fell asleep for the last hour or so. 

it was a really fun afternoon.

4th of july

we went up to NP for the 4th. 

we went up thursday afternoon after jake got off work 1/2 day.

friday was spent at the mullins, swimming, bbq, fireworks and our friends and family. 

millie woke up pumped, so i took her picture cause well..she's really cute. 

johnny is still a fish in the pool, and we got him a nice floaty that he loves! he cruised all over the pool with no help from us, and jumped off the side, and kept up with the big kids for 2 hours. and we had to beg him to get out with a hot dog. he wasn't too happy to be done.

the kids played up by the trampoline and then we went out to the top of the street for fireworks.

 i love the 4th of july. defiantly in my top 3 favorite holidays. i love the people we spend it with and what it really is celebrating. i love this country and the freedoms we have.
