camarillo air show

we went to the camarillo air show with my parents and adam and ashley last weekend.

 it was a blast!

i love air shows. and the food, and little popup tent to buy stuff at.

johnny is super into airplanes and helicopters so this was awesome for him. he was pumped the whole time.

my dad bought johnny the blue jet he is holding in theses pictures, best gift he's ever gotten. he hasn't let it out of his sight for a good 5 days. 

lately

-millie is really into her toes. if i lay her down she's always holding her toes

-johnny loves to draw and paint. he requests it often.

_millie loves her baby gym, and loves to stand on jakes hands, and has rolled a few times! but it's not a regular thing just yet.

-weve hit up disney land a few times and johnny has loved it! 

-weve been enjoying slow mornings watching cartoons and laying around in pjs.

 

mammoth

over the weekend we went up to mammoth with jakes family. they are all there for a week but jake could only get monday off work, so we went saturday morning and left around 5pm last night. it was short but we filled the days up and had all of fun.

on saturday we just hung out in the condo they rented and got settled and ate pizza. 

on sunday we got up and went for what we thought was going to be a nice 1.5 mile hike and be done by lunch time. it ended up being about 4 miles (which isn't that bad but we weren't used to the altitude and we just weren't prepared for it.) and we didn't get out until about 5pm. it was pretty exhausting with a 2 year old (who wears himself out the first half hour by jumping off every stump he sees and running like crazy) and a 3 month old and we weren't quiet prepared for that amount of time. but lucky i threw a half loaf a bread and peanut butter and honey in our back pack and made sandwiches for everyone when we stopped at Rainbow Falls which was beautiful! we also saw Devils Post pile which was awesome. millie needed to eat so when everyone went to the top, i sat at the base and fed her and enjoyed the view. Johnny was falling asleep in my arms mid hike and was getting pretty heavy so jake grabbed him and put him on his shoulders while also caring millie and the backpack. johnny fell asleep instantly on jakes head. thank you pack mule jake!when we got back pam made lasagna and johnny help emily make brownies. it was a fun and tiering day!

the next day we went to see 2 lakes near by and just relax before we had to leave. first stop was june lake which was so pretty! johnny was all bout it. and then we went to mono lake to have lunch, we ate really fast because a storm rolled in with huge rain drops! we saw some lighting and headed back to the condo to pack.

 we had a great time! thank you Pam and Nic for having us.
