halloween

halloween this year was really fun. and a little bit like being a little kid again.

we went up to my parents house the day befor halloween because jakes class on thursday was cancelled, probably because no one would have shown up anyways.

the day was spent preparing for the evening festivities. the mullins and all the gunns came to my parents house. it was so much fun! like being a little kid again. but we now have kids! we had chili for dinner and then went out for a little bit for the kids to get some candy and then had hot fudge and chatted for a long time catching up and being the family that we are.

every halloween my whole childhood was spent at the gunns house trick or treating and then getting back for hot chocolate and hot fudge sundaes. everyone would dump out their candy in the living room on that forest green carpet and organize, trade and count all their loot. 

this year was also really fun because johnny went trick or treating. we just did our street and went out with the twins. johnny got it pretty quick and actually tried to go into almost every house that opened their door. he was the cutest little lion iv ever seen and the twins were adorable matching skeletons.

 i loved having all these people together. we were missing a few but it was still pretty great to get almost all of us together.
