its beginning to look a lot like christmas...

when we got back from escalante we got our christmas tree and set up our decorations.
holidays are so fun with kids. johnny was all about the tree lot and looking at all the trees. he was also very into helping jake do any and all "heavy" lifting.

thanksgiving

thanksgving in escalante this year was great! and also a little weird.
i was the only one of my parens kids to be there on the actual day.
we got there wednesday afternoon and went straight out to my parents property to check out the house. its coming along great! they are going to love it.
Thursday we had thanksgiving with the big meisenbach family around 2:00pm and then after dessert we went out to attempt paper lantern my uncle brought, but it was too cold for the lanterns to lift. but after that we went and watched him shoot of huge rockets in someones field which was awesome!

Friday we went on a hike with my parents, my cousin and her family and my uncle and his family.
it was so much fun, i haven't been on a hike since befor i was pregnant with johnny. the hike was beautiful, and the kids did great. millie was tired and had a minor melt down the last 1/2 mile. but that wasn't too bad. we then went to dance hall rock on the way home, which is always fun.

we came home sunday morning at 4am.
it was a great trip this year!

through november

we had a bonfire at the beach
NPHS football games
days at the park
and nights at disneyland

2.5

Johnny is two and a half.
he is the best little boy.
he is happy, spunky, silly, loud, sweet, obedient, smart, clever, and so much more.
he also has a defiant streak. not a bad one but he definatly challenges us when he doesn't want to do something we ask or if he wants something a certain way. hopefully we, as parents, can help channel that passion he has in a good way and not completely ruin him. we are trying..
but he loves playing with other kids, loves his little sister, and dinos, disneyland, pirates, nursery, cars, and airplanes. he loves o sing. sings allll the time. i love it!

Millie at 6 months

Our Millie girl is 6 months old.
1/2 a year!!!
i don't know how this happens so fast.
Millie is such a sweet baby, very easy. and still pukes like no body business.
i have tried my best to keep her a newborn as long as possible. lots of swaddle time, always holding her. not pushing her to reach her milestones as much as i did johnny.
(poor johnny and oldest children in general. we always want them to do everything so quickly)
and i have come to learn that she will reach them anyways on her own and right on time. but at the same time she's still just my little baby. she rolls all over the place and just a few days ago i sat her up on her own and she was all about it. now she will sit for 30-40 minutes just playing by herself and loves the independence.
she absolutely loves johnny, and is his greatest audience.
she's all about puffs, dosent like baby food or rice cereal. but will chew a pizza crust like a pro.
no teeth yet. has a pretty good sleep schedule still.
